Maria Creutz Born: 12 March 1770 Bliesen, Schaumburg District, France Died: 23 April 1794 (probably) Bliesen, Department of the Moselle, France

Maria was the daughter of Johannes Haben and his first wife, Maria Schneider. Maria's mother apparently died shortly thereafter, and her father died the day after her first birthday. She was probably raised by Johann's second wife, Johanna Barth or her family.

Maria married Johann Nikolaus Creutz on 13 May 1788 in Bliesen. The picture shows the coat of arms of the village.

Between 1789 and 1794, Johann and Maria had three children:

1. Maria Barbara (b. 29 Aug 1789)
2. Johannes (11 Dec 1790 - 24 Mar 1842)
   He married Elisabeth Gillen (1797-1861)
3. Anna Maria (b. 1 Mar 1794)
   

Maria died at age 24. This was less than two months after the birth of her last child, so the cause may have been complications from childbirth.
