Elisabeth Kreutz Born: 21 August 1797 Bliesen, Department of the Moselle, France Died: 06 March 1861 Bliesen, Rhine Province, Prussia

Elisabeth and her twin brother Nicolaus were the fifth and sixth of seven children of Johannes Gillen and Anna M. Plettener. Her oldest brother, Peter Gillen, is number 72 in this Ahnentafel.

Elisabeth married Johannes Kreutz on 27 April 1815 in Bliesen. The coat of arms of the village is shown here.

Between 1816 and 1841, Johannes and Elisabeth had ten children:

1. Johann Nikolaus (20 Dec 1816 - 3 Mar 1823)
   He died at the age of six.
2. Johannes (2 Jan 1820 - 5 Jul 1878)
   He married Johannetta Wagner (1824-1861)
   He remarried to Barbara Fries (1840-1909)
3. Peter (31 May 1822 - 18 Feb 1885)
   He married Elisabeth Gillen (b. 25 Jun 1830)
4. Nikolaus (5 Feb 1825 - 4 Nov 1901)
   He married Anna Eckert (1827-1861)
   He remarried to Anna Maria Gillen (1842-1920), daughter of Johannes Gillen and Elisabeth Wagner.
   Their son, Franz Kreuz (1865-1947), emigrated in 1888.
5. Maria Elisabeth (30 Oct 1827 - 7 Mar 1867)
   She married Johann Nikolaus Klein (1823-1906)
6. Jakob (b. 30 Dec 1830)
   He married Angela Rauber (b. 20 Feb 1837)
7. Anna Maria (26 Feb 1833 - 21 Jun 1894)
   She married Johann Nikolaus Biegel (1817-1895)
8. Catharina (3 Apr 1835 - 3 Jul 1882)
   She married Jakob Rauber (1833-1920)
9. Franz Peter (Frank) (b. 6 Feb 1838)
   He emigrated in 1866.
   He married Catharina (b. 1839/40), and worked as a tanner and a farmer.
   
10. Johann Nikolaus (2 Jul 1841 - 13 Jan 1864)
    

Elisabeth died at age 63.
