Catharina's parentage is unknown, although her maiden name was Brugger, or possibly Prugger.

Catharina became the second wife of Johann Ammon on 15 October 1737 in Oberdorf. The coat of arms of the kingdom of Württemberg is shown here.

In 1754, Johann and Catharina had a son:

   He married Barbara Brugger (1754-1800)
   He remarried to Maria Lanz (d. 1822)
