Margaretha was the eldest of eight children of Matthias Hans and Anna Elisabetha Thiel.

Margaretha married Johann Peter Wagener before 1725, probably in Bliesen. The coat of arms of the village is shown here.

Between 1725 and 1745, Johann and Margaretha had seven children:

1. Jakobus (14 Jul 1725 - 9 Jan 1797)
   He married Anna Maria Schmidt (1730-1793)
2. Johannes (7 Mar 1728 - 22 Oct 1807)
   He married Maria Rauber (1732-1820), who was the daughter of Matthias Rauber and Katharina Schneider.
   Johannes worked as a farmer.
3. Maria (b. 30 Jan 1731)
4. Johann Peter (14 Nov 1733 - 28 Jan 1782)
   He married Katharina Staub (1745-1780)
   He remarried to Katharina Ditzler (1747-1810)
5. Katharina (b. 7 May 1737)
6. Matthias (14 Aug 1740 - 6 Nov 1797)
   He married Margaretha Schmitt (1746-1809)
7. A. Elisabeth (6 Mar 1745 - 2 Mar 1813)
   She married Peter Creutz (1718-1782)
   She remarried to Jakob Rauber (1742-1803)

Their children were born in Bliesen, so the family lived there during that period.
