Georg was the son of Joseph Zenk and A. Maria Rathelsdopfer. He was born in Schweisdorf.

He worked as a farmer.

Georg married Barbara Dumbrof on 21 April 1823 in Scheßlitz, Bavaria. The coat of arms of Bamberg is shown here.

Between 1824 and 1844, Georg and Barbara had thirteen children, including Cunigunda Zenk.

All their children were born in Schweisdorf, so the family lived there during that period.
