Mathias Jung Born: 18 June 1746 Niederhofen, Duchy of Lorraine Died: 10 January 1825 Bliesen, Principality of Lichtenberg

Mathias was the second of nine children of Sebastianus Jung and Maria Hans of Niederhofen.

He worked as a farmer.

Mathias married A. Elisabetha Schnur on 24 January 1775 in Bliesen. The picture shows the coat of arms of the village.

Between 1775 and 1791, Mathias and Elisabetha had six children, including Johanna Gillen and Anna Maria Jung.

After Elisabetha died, Mathias married Elisabetha Dörr (b. 8 Jun 1778) on 17 February 1813 in Bliesen.
She was the daughter of Lorenz Dörr and Maria Jansen.

Between 1813 and 1817, Mathias and Elisabetha had three children:

1. Lorenz (2 Aug 1813 - 24 Apr 1891)
   He married Elisabeth Klein (1814-1847)
   He remarried to Elisabeth Schmitt (1819-1858)
2. Mathias (21 Apr 1815 - 7 May 1828)
   He died at age thirteen.
3. Jakob (15 Jul 1817 - 15 Jun 1881)
   He married Elisabeth Hans (b. 1822)

Mathias died at age 78. Elisabetha's date of death is unknown.
