coat of arms of Spang

Maria's parentage is unknown. She was said to have been born in Spang. The picture shows the coat of arms of the village. However, the death certificate of her daughter, Kate Bauer, lists "Londzeheit" as her mother's place of birth. It is unclear which place this refers to. Maria's maiden name was Fischer.

Maria married Lorenz Gerten, probably in Spang, before 1845.
