coat of arms of Oberthal

Johanna was the eldest of two children of Matthias Rauber and her father's second wife, Katharina Schneider. Gronig is now part of Oberthal, and the coat of arms of Oberthal is shown here.

Johanna married Johann Staub on 11 January 1757, possibly in Bliesen.

Between 1758 and 1760, Johann and Johanna had two children:

  1. Johanna (b. 1 Mar 1758)
  2. Katharina (18 Dec 1760 - 8 May 1838)
    She married Johannes Wagner (1754-1843)

After Johann's death, Johanna remarried to Peter Klein. He was born on 17 January 1742 in Bliesen, and the marriage took place on 15 January 1763, probably in Bliesen.

Between 1763 and 1774, Peter and Johanna had five children:

  1. Johann (b. 30 Dec 1763)
  2. Johann Nikolaus (20 Apr 1766 - 28 Mar 1832)
He married Barbara Kreutz (b. 1773)
    Johann worked as a farmer.
  3. Maria (5 May 1769 - 1 Nov 1843)
She married Johann Jakob Becker (1772-1812)
  4. Johannes (15 Feb 1772 - 22 Feb 1848)
    He married A. Katharina Kreutz (b. 1770)
  5. Anna (27 Oct 1774 - 20 Nov 1847)
She married Peter Wagner (1765-1813). He was a son of Jakobus Wagner and Anna Maria Schmidt.

Their children were born in Bliesen, so the family lived there during that period.

Johanna died at age 60.
