Magdalena's parentage and place of origin are unknown.

Magdalena married Johann Nikolaus Kreuz before 1720, probably in Alsweiler. The coat of arms of the village is shown here.

Between 1720 and 1725, Johann and Magdalena had two children:

  1. Maria (b. 1720)
She married Peter Recktenwald (1718-1773). He was a farmer and a juror of some sort (Sendschöffe).
Peter and Maria lived in Marpingen and had seven children. By the early 20th century, over a thousand of their descendants had lived or were living in Marpingen. One of these was Margaretha Kunz (1868-1905), their great-great granddaughter, who was the "prophetess in the Härtelwald" (Seherin im Härtelwald).
  2. Petrus (ca 1725 - 9 Sep 1791)
He married Maria Barbara Thiel (1727-1800)

Both of their children were born in Alsweiler, so the family lived there during that period.
