Magdalena Ganter Born: circa 1755 unknown Died: before 1811 Buchhorn, Bavaria

Magdalena's parentage and place of origin are unknown, although her maiden name was Brugger.

Magdalena first married Christian Bitsch, a hunter in the service of the bishop of Konstanz in Ittendorf. The marriage occurred before 1777. Christian apparently died soon after.

Magdalena remarried to Franz Joseph Ganter on 16 May 1779 in Buchhorn. The coat of arms of the city is shown here.

Between 1780 and 1797, Franz and Magdalena had seven children:

   She apparently died as a child.
2. Maria Theresia (b. 24 Sep 1782)
3. Lorenz Alois (b. 14 Jan 1785)
4. Franz Josef (10 Feb 1787 - 8 Feb 1846)
   He married Helena Menz (1785-1868)
5. Maria Anna (b. 12 Jan 1792)
6. Maria Katharina (b. 1 Oct 1792) [sic]
7. Franziskus Xaverius (b. 4 Oct 1797)

Maria probably died in her fifties.
