Gerardus Plettener Born: 1710 Place: unknown Died: 03 November 1776 Niederhofen, Schaumburg District, France

Gerardus' parentage and exact place of origin are unknown.

He worked as a miller at the Gombach mill (Gombachermühle), which was located on the Gombach stream just northeast of Bliesen. The coat of arms of the village is shown here. He began work at the mill in 1750.

Gerardus married Gertrudis before 1751, probably in Bliesen.

In 1750, Gerardus and Gertrudis had two children:

1. Wilhelm {twin} (b. 11 Nov 1750)
2. Peter {twin} (b. 11 Nov 1750)

Nothing more is known about Gertrudis, so she may have died after giving birth to her sons.

Gerardus remarried Elisabeth Funck before 1761, probably in Bliesen.

In 1761, Gerardus and Elisabeth had Anna M. Plettener.

Gerardus died at age 66 in Niederhofen.
