Johann Bertele Born: 04 November 1779 Langenargen, Dominion of Langenargen Died: 09 March 1853 Langenargen, Kingdom of Württemberg

Johann was the son of Joseph Bertele and Agatha Rittler.

He worked as a farmer and a weaver.

Johann married Maria Anna Ammann on 29 May 1800 in Langenargen. The coat of arms of the town is shown here.

Between 1801 and 1817, Johann and Maria had ten children, including Gebhard Bertele.

He moved his family to Gmünd in 1817, where he took over the farm of a Johann Bentele.

Johann died at age 73 from "weakness of age," and was buried on 12 March 1853 in Langenargen.
